Welcome to the Charleston Area Ostomy Associations' Website. 
We are an established and growing support group dedicated to supporting ostomates through the process of recovery and rehabilitation. Our members have survived an often life altering or life threatening disease process.  
We are here to help you manage your recovery.

Our Mission
 
The mission of the Charleston Area Ostomy Association (CAOA) is to aid in the rehabilitation of ostomates, through visits, educational material, moral support and mutual understanding. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals who have had, or will have intestinal or urinary diversions.
 
Our Member Services
 

The CAOA is a non-profit support group.
 
We can provide telephone, preoperative or postoperative visitation in Charleston, WV and surrounding counties. Our visitors are matched with the most appropriate referral by a certified ostomy nurse or an experienced, professionally trained visitation coordinator.
 
If you are in need of our services or would like to become a member, please contact us.
Annual Membership of $20.00 includes newsletters, meetings, and any education material provided at our meetings. Guest speakers are often scheduled for our meetings to share their expertise on various topics.
